The Recruitment Agency Expo at Birmingham NEC started on Wednesday October 5th for a two-day event and ID-Pal were there as an exhibitor. Leading the ID-Pal team was our Right to Work expert Enterprise Sales Manager Mark O’Hara with Business Development Manager Peter Davitt and Marketing Executive Emma Hayes also in attendance to chat about changes in guidelines to digital Right to Work checks and robust identity document verification of candidates using ID-Pal.  

The wonderful thing about the Recruitment Agency Expo is that attendees can find the latest product innovations and services dedicated to the recruitment industry all under one roof. For any recruitment professional or employer, who wants to stay ahead and gain essential knowledge of the latest developments and tools available to grow its business, it’s a key event to attend. 

Over the two days, 60 leading experts offer presentations and guidance to help recruitment professionals understand more about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for them. ID-Pal was able to attend a few seminars in between chatting to attendees and network with fellow exhibitors, so here is a quick roundup:  

Squire by Olas 

It was lovely to meet the team from Squire by Olas, who enable recruitment companies to reliably capture the required and useful information from every sale, sourcing and screening call, and upload it to their ATS in a single click. ID-Pal managed to catch CEO Rory O’Doherty’s talk about practical innovation and driving meaningful impact into your business with Rory reminding attendees at the end to test new technologies for their business and to give new start-ups a chance to prove how its tech can provide a competitive advantage.  

Sonovate 

With Sonovate serving up coffee by the incredibly friendly Reagan it was hard to stay away from the stand! ID-Pal’s Mark O’Hara knew a few of the Sonovate team and we caught up on what’s happening in the tech and funding space.  Sonovate provides finance and technology services to recruitment businesses, consultancies and labour marketplaces that engage contractors and freelancers across the world.   

Rectec 

Rob Green, Founder and Director at Rectec took to the stage to share his insights about the growing issue of identifying the right tech for your business. In case you don’t know, Rectec is an award-winning recruitment technology service provider who have developed a powerful recruitment technology comparison service, aimed at identifying the best recruitment tech for their clients, quickly, and for free!  

Rsign 

Rsign were there and we chatted with David Roberts, Business Development Manager about their simple to use, affordable, enterprise grade eSignature solution that makes it easier for signers to complete and sign documents using any desktop or mobile web browser in an intuitive, guided signing process. 

Broadbean 

Broadbean (ID-Pal’s neighbours for the event) were dishing out tasty cocktails while sharing how they deliver great cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology to make candidate attraction easier, faster and more efficient. 

LogicMelon 

ID-Pal really enjoyed Managing Director at LogicMelon, John Salt’s talk on Business Strategy, Trends, Data, and the Future of Recruitment: an insightful talk on how automation and robotics is changing the workplace, but not necessarily taking people’s jobs. John also shared some current data on the status of the UK workforce. LogicMelon provides applicant tracking system and cloud recruitment software that reduces the cost and time to hire for recruitment agencies and in-house recruiters.
