Reporting to the Head of Product, the Product Specialist will play a key role in supporting product decision-making through data-driven analysis, commercial evaluation, market intelligence, and strategic supplier management.

The Product function is responsible for the entire customer journey, from the user experience of our web and mobile applications to ensuring our backend admin portal is continuously evolving and improving.

This cross-functional role partners with Product Managers, Customer Success, Customer Experience, Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, and Leadership to evaluate product opportunities, assess business impact, monitor performance, identify market trends, and manage strategic technology partner relationships.

Through a combination of analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and external market knowledge, the role will help ensure product investment decisions are informed by evidence, aligned with customer needs, and supported by the right technology partnerships.

Core responsibilities

  • Evaluate new product opportunities, feature requests, and strategic initiatives by assessing customer, commercial, operational, and technical impacts to support informed investment decisions.
  • Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations to support Product Managers and leadership with prioritisation and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse product performance, customer behaviour, and usage data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain product metrics, dashboards, and reporting to provide actionable insights and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and monitor industry, regulatory, and technology trends to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Act as the primary Product contact for strategic technology partners and suppliers, managing supplier relationships, performance reviews, roadmap discussions, and product evaluations.
  • Support Product Managers by gathering and analysing customer feedback from internal and external sources to identify customer needs, pain points, and product improvement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and the availability of insights to support Product decision-making.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools, workflow automation, and modern technologies to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance Product research, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Use SQL and database queries to interrogate product data, investigate trends, validate assumptions, and support product analysis and reporting.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Product processes aligned with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, GDPR, and the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and continuously improve Product processes, tools, and ways of working.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Product Management, Business Analysis, Commercial Analysis, or similar role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience developing business cases, evaluating opportunities, or supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Experience analysing product, customer, or business performance using reporting, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
  • Comfortable working with data, including a basic understanding of SQL and relational databases or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers, technology partners, or cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to using AI-powered tools and workflow automations to improve productivity, research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Product Management practices and an understanding of governance, compliance, or regulated environments (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 9001, GDPR) is desirable.

Desirable experience

  • Experience within SaaS, FinTech, RegTech, Identity Verification, Compliance, or B2B software environments
  • Experience evaluating third-party technology providers and services
  • Understanding of identity verification, fraud prevention, KYC, KYB, AML, or compliance technologies
  • Familiarity with AI-driven fraud trends and evolving identity verification technologies
