ID-Pal’s Top 10 Stories of 2022 features some of our biggest announcements, appointment news, award wins and partnership news in 2022. Each story represents a significant milestone for ID-Pal, and we are pleased to round off the year with all of these stories in one place:
1. ID-Pal secures €7 million in Series A funding round
The biggest news story for ID-Pal in 2022 was of course, ID-Pal securing €7million in Series A funding. The new wave of funding allows us to further scale our global sales and marketing efforts to meet the growing demand for our identity verification solution. Read the full press release here.
2. Identity verification provider ID-Pal launches in the UK
Back in May, ID-Pal announced it was formally entering the UK market following six years of exponential growth. Colum Lyons, CEO and Founder of ID-Pal said, “We’re looking forward to officially launching in the UK market and empowering more businesses with simple, secure convenient identity verification for their business and their customers.” Read the press release here.
3. ID-Pal appoints DPO Sinead McDonald to Board
In September, we announced the appointment of Sinead McDonald, the company’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), to the Board of Directors. McDonald plays a critical part in ensuring our ISO 27001 certified identity verification solution sustains its reputation for providing businesses with a secure and compliant way to verify the identity and address of customers in any jurisdiction and language. 4. ID-Pal becomes a certified IDSP for digital Right to Work and Right to Rent checks
Back in October ID-Pal announced that our technology was now government-certified as an identity service provider (IDSP) for digital Right to Work and Right to Rent checks in the UK. This certification is a trust stamp for any business or government body to use a provider with confidence. Read more about IDSP here.
5. Lerex Technology partners with ID-Pal
ID-Pal was appointed by Lerex Technology, the payment solution provider, to help with its growing identity verification, e-verification, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know your Customer (KYC) requirements. The partnership sees ID-Pal support Lerex Technology with AML compliance and the onboarding of new customers seamlessly across multiple European markets. 6. ID-Pal partners with Melissa to Deliver Seamless Verification
We announced our partnership with Melissa, a leading provider of global data quality and address management solutions back in August. Harnessing ID-Pal’s ISO 27001 certified, comprehensive identity verification technology, and backed by Melissa’s 35+ years in address standardisation, correction, and verification, this new app offers coverage of over 6000 identification documents across 200 countries and jurisdictions. Earlier in 2022, we were named in Fintech Global’s prestigious AIFinTech100, an annual list of the world’s most innovative companies developing AI-driven solutions across the financial services sector and is based on research with over 2,000 FinTech companies. Read the full story here.

The annual RegTech100 revealed the heavy hitters transforming the regulatory technology sector and ID-Pal was thrilled to be included on the list of the world’s 100 most pioneering businesses in the regulatory market. Read about it here.
9. ID-Pal ranked 6th in the Deloitte Fast50
It will forever be sealed in our memories as half of the ID-Pal team attended the Deloitte Fast 50 back in November to celebrate getting into the top 50.
